A five-year study by VCU Transition RRTC, funded by the National Institute on Disability, found that Pre-ETS is essential for students with significant disabilities (ages 14-16). This led to a specialized toolkit to support Pre-ETS. While technology training isn’t a main focus of Pre-ETS, pilot results showed it’s crucial for engaging these students. This presentation, including a roundtable with researchers, a teacher, and a vocational rehabilitation counselor, will discuss technology challenges and barriers to access for students with high support needs.
