The World Health Organization (2024) defines Quality-of-Life as "an individual's perceptions in the context of the culture and value systems in which they live and in relation to their goals, expectations, standards, and concerns." VCU-RRTC-IDD Research Study 2 will measure the following:

Employment Satisfaction: Satisfaction with job match, hours, wages, co-worker relationships, financial advantages, feelings of contribution, etc.

Physical Well-Being: Changes in level of physical activity, sleep, diet, routine healthcare visits, and other health habits.

Psychological Well-Being: Changes in self-esteem, worthiness, ability to make choices, set goals, life satisfaction, and other facets of mental well-being.

Social/Community Participation: Changes in frequency, type, and time spent in the community with family, friendships, relationships, and other social activities.
