Structured abstract:

Background:  While rehabilitation counselors have many available resources for minority clients with disabilities to use community resources, there are not readily- available guidelines for service allocation. The objective of this article is to implement a simple, changeable service allocation template for rehabilitation counselors to use. The 10-step referral process with examples is presented for rehabilitation counselors, with ways counselors can properly allocate and monitor services when working with minority clients. There is also a case study showing how to apply the model.
