Lucian Friel, M.S.

Educational Technologies Support Specialist

Lucian is a former Marine and a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University. In 2017, Lucian received his bachelor of science in mass communications with a concentration in public relations and a minor in general business. He joined the RRTC team in January 2018. In 2021, he graduated with a masters of science in mass communication with a concentration in integrated communications. He is currently the educational technology support specialist at VCU’s Rehabilitation Research and Training Center and Autism Center for Excellence, updating courses and websites for the RRTC and ACE and assisting students in training courses.  In addition to providing technical support for webcasts and online courses, Lucian contributes to many of our project websites, takes photos, and produces videos for RRTC and ACE.  In the Marine Corps, he was a combat correspondent, otherwise known as a military journalist, who wrote more than 175 feature and news stories with accompanying photos of Marines, combat operations in Iraq, and training operations during his enlistment.
