
Ms. Falk is a Work Incentive Counselor with Virginia Commonwealth University’s SSA-funded National Training Center . In this role, she provides counseling related to SSA work incentives and employment supports nationally. Prior to joining VCU, Ms. Falk worked for 10 years providing benefits counseling services at the North Carolina Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services. She was originally hired under the State Partnership Initiative (SPI), continuing through the transition to Benefits Planning Assistance and Outreach (BPAO) and Work Incentives Planning and Assistance (WIPA). She has extensive experience developing community partnerships with agencies serving SSA beneficiaries and delivering training workshops to promote employment options for people with disabilities. In addition, Ms. Falk serves as a faculty member at Axia College of the University of Phoenix, teaching classes in the Human Services department. She has worked for 28 years in the human service field in many capacities including residential, independent living, supported employment, and subsidized housing.
