Tanisha Tate is a DC native with an educational foundation in Criminal Justice and Forensic Psychology. With over a decade of experience in advocacy, she has developed a great connection to supporting individuals with Autism and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Tanisha's professional journey began early in her career with a summer position at United Cerebral Palsy in Washington, DC. Following her bachelor's degree, she spent three years as a Registered Behavior Technician, delivering ABA services to those in need. Prior to current employment, Tanisha served as a Transition Counselor for South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation providing an array of services to youth consumers.
Tanisha's wide-ranging background also includes significant work as a victim advocate within the justice system. Her passion for helping others and providing essential community resources is evident in her professional endeavors.
Outside of her career, Tanisha is a devoted wife and dog mom who has a keen interest in fashion and runway, enjoys hiking in national and state parks, community empowerment events, and literature. In her downtime, Tanisha treasures spending quality moments with friends and family.
