Becky Banks has over 25 years experience in rehabilitation services. She is a Technical Liaison for the VCU National Training Center and is the Project Coordinator for the Employment Success Adviser Services, funded by the Social Security Administration.
Prior to joining VCU, Becky was a Research Associate and Project Coordinator with the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community at Indiana University. She served on Indiana’s Medicaid Infrastructure Grant Management team and coordinated a number of projects including statewide strategic planning, financial stability and building capacity for work incentive planning. She also coordinated a BPAO program, developed and managed a community mental health supported employment program, and provided case management and crisis counseling services.
She has authored and co-authored journal articles, book chapters and other materials relating to employment and workplace supports. She has extensive experience in providing training, consultation, group facilitation and technical assistance on employment, federal and state benefits, and work incentives.
As an independent consultant, she has worked nationally with several entities including state agencies and various universities on employment and work incentive supports.
She is a graduate of Taylor University and Ball State University with a Master’s degree in counseling and social psychology.
