VCU Health System and Children's Hospital joined in June 2010 to form Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU (CHoR). 2017 will mark 100 years of children's health care in Richmond, and efforts to expand and increase health services for children continue. From recruiting additional specialists, to establishing new pediatric programs, from ground-breaking research to expansion projects, CHoR remains committed to improving pediatric care in the community.

Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU is Central Virginia's only comprehensive, full-service hospital dedicated to the care of children. CHoR is ranked among the nations top children's hospital by U.S. News and World Report and is Virginia's only Level 1 pediatric trauma center. CHoR offers a wide range of children's health services, including pediatric emergency services, primary care, specialty and subspecialty care, burn, trauma, transplant and long-term care. With more than 15 locations across Central Virginia, CHoR provides pediatric inpatient and outpatient services that cover nearly all children's health-related needs.

As part of the VCU Medical Center, ranked the #1 hospital in Virginia, CHoR is committed to ensuring access to care for all children; training future pediatric caregivers and making new discoveries in the lab that improve our understanding and treatment of childhood diseases. CHoR will collaborate with the VCU-RRTC to identify transition age youth to participate in Research Study Three, Customized Employment as an Evidence-based Practice to Improve the Employment Outcomes of Transition-age Youth with Physical Disabilities.
